There are some books that one can return to time and time again and find new lessons to follow, new pithy lines to quip, and new tangents to traipse down.
My list is somewhat barren, my recent move having separated me from most of my library, but I do know a few that will stay near me for the foreseeable future.
- Lost in the Cosmos by Walker Percy
- Modernity on Endless Trial by Leszek Kolakowski
- Manalive by GK Chesterton
When I get my library back, I’m sure I’ll have more to add. But, perhaps, a few important books are all one needs.
